made tea, at some chocolate and talked to dh for over an hour about gifts, unloaded dishwasher
10:27am dashed out door to neighbor's house for chat
12pm back home
12:10 ate lunch
12:15 got call from mom, talked to her for almost an hour

Ok, I have about five hours to myself today. Whoa. I'm going to see how much stuff I can get done.  I want to do some podficcing and then quilting. I will come back and update as I go.

I had a very busy weekend. Spent most of the day yesterday at a feis (Irish Step Dance competition) for DD1 where she placed 3rd in one of three dances. (Proud mama moment :D).

I slept horribly last night and felt awful this morning. I almost went back to bed, but really really didn't want to do that, so I sat still and upright for a couple hours and felt nominally better. Today I spent most of my day in The Lab and I made very good progress. Ruby Neuron is basically done and then I made a base and stuck two dolphins on it for "Moonlight Swim" :D

In the meantime, I watched Galaxy Quest, Castle, and the second Almost Human. Yay! Loving Almost Human and MacKenzie Crook plays a delicious character in it.

I left the house before 9am this morning. Didn't even have time to clean up the kitchen before I left! Kids got their own breakfast (without too much complaining) and their own snacks.  Yay.  We are on a roll.  I got home after 4:30.  Nearly passed out in the heat.   Must get a/c in car fixed.   Have spent the time at home in bed, menstruating.

I had a bunch of running around stuff today, plus reading to two classes, but I did manage to get a few things done.

1. I cooked some veggies. Go me!
2. I made a squid bookmark (see pictures below).
3. I went dancing

I know I did other stuff too, but I can't remember what. Too busy.

I woke up at 8:15 and was out the door at 9:20, with girls and plenty of food in hand.  We spent the whole day in DC (from 10:30-3:15).  Kids did GREAT.  I love having older kids.  Met up with another fan who was very patient with my kids and my distraction ( Read more... )
